Our Beliefs and Who We Are
A New Reformation

Our Beliefs and Who We Are
Our Beliefs:
We, the New Reformation Team, are in agreement with and support the Apostles Creed:
“I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven
and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third
day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the
right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the
living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal)
church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of
the body, and life everlasting. Amen.”
We, the New Reformation Team, are in agreement with and
support the Nicene Creed:
“I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven
and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus
Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us
men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was
incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the
third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and
is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to
judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and
the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has
spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic (universal) and
apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I
look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.”
We, the New Reformation Team, are in agreement with and
support the Westminster Confession of Faith (Too long to quote. Please
refer to link below).

We, the New Reformation Team, respect and appreciate the
teachings and example of the Reformer Martin Luther. We are
grateful for the testimony of his life in many ways.
Background on the Team - "Preach the
Gospel, Die, Be Forgotten"
We, the authors of this work, refer to ourselves as “The
Team”. We, on The Team, are old, chronologically. Unless
the Lord returns, we will all soon be departing from our earthly
bodies. We will be experiencing the joy and peace of being in the
presence of our Savior – but our opportunity to get the New Reformation started
will have passed. Help us, therefore, to move forward on this New
Reformation journey and to strive to not get bogged down in the pettiness of
our sinful nature. (Our message is solely and entirely contained in this
blog. However, if you would like to contact us, please email
newreformation.@yahoo.com.)
We abide by the motto “Preach the gospel, die, be
forgotten” - Nikolaus Zinzendorf. With that in mind, we do not
consider this to be “our” Ministry. We work on it with the confidence
that it is the Lord’s Word, the Lord’s work, and He will guide and prosper it
as He sees fit. It is not important who we are.
It is for us on The Team to strive to be humble and to
remember that, from start to finish, it is the Lord’s Word and this is the
Lord’s Work.
