Free from the Law Metaphor
According to this metaphor, God gave us his commands and laws by which
we should live. But nobody can actually live by the law. We all break some
part of it some times. As a result we are guilty of breaking the law. As
law breakers we should be condemned or sentenced by God when he comes to
judge us. But Christ came and showed us a different way to be live. Not
by the law, but by love. We are now free from the law and become bound
by the principle of love. (Romans 8:1-3)(Romans 7:12-20)
