Existential Metaphor
According the this metaphor (the primary metaphor used on the New Reformation
Home Page), life is inherently meaningless. All the things I do, no matter
how great they may seem or how much fame or fortune I get, are a big waste.
They mean nothing more than a big noise from bad gas. (Isaiah 26:18). Christ
came to earth to show us that the only meaningful things we do are things
we do out of love for others. Christ showed us how to live a life of self
sacrificing love. (John 15:12-13) When this finally hits us and we turn
our lives around and begin living this way, we are becoming Christians.
(Ephesians 5:1,2) (Colossians 2:1-3)(Matthew 5:43-48)(1 Corinthians 13:1-13)
